Twitter's just batting a 1000
I want to see what the 0 follower thing is all about. Half of mine seemed like spam or madeup anyway, but still...It's just odd. At first I thought it was a virus or just me, but no...Again, I'll be curious to see what the deal was behind this.

VILF's, WILF's, What's up with Twitter Today? etc...
Can't get blending with my Stabilo pencils to work...Would be better of just buying light green and dark green (at least for now). I'm drawing a little tree...by sight...not from a photograph or anything for once...
Fangtastic Books had a True Blood Poster I like...VILF...Alcide may very well turn into my WILF...
Twitter has been overcapacity at least a gazillion times today...I've tried reloading the page...usually that works but not today...What's up?
Facebook won't let me respond to my messages, so I'm ticked about that as well...
It's rainy, windy, and cool here today...I've got to say I like that a hell of a lot better than I like rainy, hot, and muggy. I was talking to this dude in Utah yesterday about how summer weather is basically a coin toss, so you cherish those nice days when they come.
ETA: Didn't see Lady Gaga's Alejandro video yet, but I'm looking forward to it...She does come up with some amazing visuals...I think that's why I'm so captivated by her...The music alone doesn't do it for me.
Just found out about Douglas Kirkland's Thriller book coming out in October...It's got a holographic cover...I'm so jazzed. xD I wonder how many never before seen photos there will be...Accounts we didn't get to hear...I love stuff like that. I was also amazed to find this guy photographed Marilyn Monroe too...I'm something of a film buff, so I wouldn't be surprised to find that's why this dude's name sounded familiar to me. (Photography was one of those pursuits I had to set aside because of cost...maybe at some point I'll pick it back up again...It's something I never lost interest in...)

Twitter...
I knew it had been a while since I logged on to Twitter, but now I'm a bit embarassed. The little counter said 5 months... :( I didn't realize it had been that long. The thing is I don't like to tweet every 5 minutes about really mundane things...Some celebs can get away with it, but for the most part, it's just a bunch of stuff somebody is probably reading, shrugging, and going "Who cares?" to. I'm sitting here trying really hard not to doze off...I'm toying with going to see a late night Saturday screening of Black Dynamite. It's funny what I'm waxing all nostalgic over. I saw the video (on either Vh-1 Classic or Vh-1 Soul...Can't remember which...) to Rick James and Smokey Robinson's song "Ebony Eyes" and actually almost got misty. It brought back memories of Music Video Connection like I don't know what.

Twitter...
I keep meaning to post, but work has been rather hectic...once I get off...other things usually take priority...I'm surprised I still have an account frankly...I love the chance to "follow" people I probably wouldn't normally get the chance to keep track of though...Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson. I don't tweet more, because I don't like to post boring tweets...it's somewhat of a novelty when celebs do it, because they get treated like they're not people sometimes, so to read about them doing mundane stuff is somehow perceived as refreshing. When a regular person does it, friends and acquaintances just sort of go "Thanks for the newsflash : /". I've never been the sort of person that could keep my thoughts, feelings, etc. to just 140 characters or less anyhow...I don't want to stop trying though, because if there's one thing I can't resist, it's a positive challenge. Hopefully, I'll improve with it, just like I intend to get better about procrastinating.

The joys of Twitter...
I wanted to tweet about baking chicken without burning the house down or poisoning anyone and I guess it was around 9@ night on Monday? I couldn't even get on, because so many other people got it in their heads to "tweet" at the same time. Is that like the peak time or something? I don't remember that ever happening to me on facebook...Maybe it's because I'm not on it enough...

Another Twitter follower...
I'm pleased and a bit surprised to find that I have another Twitter follower. I'll try not to disappoint.

Oops!
I blogged yesterday about posting the link to this blog on my Twitter page yesterday. I got on my Twitter page yesterday and discovered that I'd already done it. (See, I told you I don't visit my Twitter page that often.) My sister was asking about Twitter yesterday, and seemed to think it was complicated. I told her it wasn't. She's actually the more technologically savvy of the two of us. My thoughts on it are this... If you can text, most likely, you'll be able to tweet. Hopefully, before the summer is over, I will get some pictures up here and at Twitter. It depends on how a lot of things go...I know I keep putting it off, and putting it off, but everytime I turn around either there's some curveball being thrown at me, or I'm feeling lousy. I'm hoping at some point to get a better handle on things, or at least not let things get to the point where they overwhelm me.

Hodge Podge # 1
Hodge Podge is the title I'm going to use for posts that are about a bunch of things, but I'm too lazy or rushed to come up with a creative title. ;D
Some girl/woman has signed up to follow me on Twitter, which for the life of me, I can't imagine why. The list of people I follow is so eclectic. And on top of that, I'm a lousy microblogger. I don't microblog about the mundane. Therefore, instead of the 65 blog entries I have here, I probably have tweeted something like 15 times at the most. Dollars to doughnuts this person will get tired of me, just like the last person that decided they wanted to "follow" me. If they're not one and the same. Maybe, I'll link that page to this page or something like that...That way if they want it, people have a choice...If not, I'm no worse off than I was before.
Had to move some more doctor's appointments around. Oh joy!
I'm gathering boxes for the move I'm contemplating. And I have finally gotten it through my thick skull that big boxes are not always the best boxes. (ie. You have to be able to lift the box after you actually pack it. I guess my reasoning at the time, was look how quickly I got so much packed away. Then, when the time came to lift the box...)
I've got a viewing or showing for an apartment (however you refer to it) on Saturday. The property I'm really looking forward to seeing I have to apply for, closer to the time I'm actually moving in. I would think that would actually lessen my chances, particularly with apartments close to the University of Maryland-College Park as new students head back to school, but that's just me.
I found out about Slash what he's doing for the mute swans in Chesapeake Bay last week. That really tickled and touched me. He signed an autograph for me a long time ago. "Happy F___in B-day!" My birthday is in the same month as Slash's. Anyway, I never forgot him for taking the time to do that for me. (I think I still have it, if it wasn't in one of those boxes that got destroyed when the roof leaked in my bedroom closet at my dad's apartment. If it's destroyed, I may have to start up some correspondence...) I just recently found out that Slash is on Twitter. I'm now "following" him (That doesn't sound right. I wish there was a less creepy way to put that.).
While we're on the subject of guitar-playing dudes, I also found out what Micki Free has been up to since leaving Shalamar(I'll say it again, Unsung is one of the best shows out there.). Not only was I surprised, but I was impressed. (Man, do I miss going to PowWows. I've also got to remember to ask my rheumatologist. If horseback riding is alright again. Sometimes, I get so rushed or distracted I forget to ask all the questions that I really need to ask my doctor. It's sad.)
I also did get clarification that I had a maternal great-grandmother or a great great grandmother who was half-Chinese (Gran Lee). And you wouldn't know it to look at me either. I think that is so wild. :D So, now I know that besides obviously being African-American, I am also part Eastern Chickahominy as well. The puzzle pieces are coming together. I love it. To have a picture of Gran Lee would be awesome. I'll have to ask about that.
Another air bed has bit the dust, so I'm off to the store this evening to replace that. (I know airbeds are not for long-term use, but until I know I'm at a place, I'm going to be staying for a while, I absolutely refuse to buy a "real" bed. Especially since I will be the one responsible for moving it. I've found one company that says they will not only move my stuff, but drive it to it's destination for me as well. [I don't/can't drive.] Most things that sound too good to be true usually are. So, I'll believe it when I see it, I guess.)
Have managed to duck/avoid the older gentleman that keeps popping up in places I frequent and making me feel uncomfortable at my job (Complementing my appearance, touching me on the arm in greeting [being touched by strangers just makes me nervous. Period.], Admitting that he watches me...). I'm trying to find a polite yet tactful way to discourage him, and so far have come up with nothing. I wish he'd get tired of me soon though, because my nerves are shredded.

Observations...
It's been a few days, since I've seen Star Trek, and I'm looking around at all the comments, that the film has gotten on some of my favorite sites, IO9, Den of Geek, and Sci-Fi wire to name a few. Most people either really love this film or really hate it. I'm not seeing a lot of middle ground people. I don't think the people that are criticizing the film get the fact that not only are we dealing with an alternate timeline, but this is supposed to be a reboot of Star Trek.
Speaking of the works of Abrams and Lindelof, I am so watching Lost tonight.
I just found out there's going to be a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas in August. I wish like mad I could go, but unless some miracle happens, nothing's doing.
Twitter...I hate to say it, but you have to be a certain type of blogger to really appreciate Twitter. I don't like blogging too much about minutiae (ie. It's 11:55pm and I am brushing my teeth. Now it's midnight and I'm turning down the covers.), because it gets boring fast, even if the person in question is a celebrity. I try to tweet about things that are out of the ordinary for me, or that I think might be of interest to others that are into the same thing. Like when I post about a J-horror film I'm watching or something like that.
I'm procrastinating like mad on seeing if I can get that drawing uploaded to this blog. I don't think anybody is really thinking about Wolverine at this point anyway. Are American attention spans really so short? If so, that doesn't speak volumes of us does it?
